Let’s face it times are tough, with the economic down turn trying to find trendy outfits to make your $s go further in order to wear your costume at Halloween and other parties throughout the year.   

With so many characters to choose from you are really spoilt for choice for the science fiction lovers in your family.  By looking at outfitting all the family in the one theme it is worth considering Star Trek costumes. They are fun and affordable even Pop and Grandma could go in theme, that would be great!

You can’t tell me that Star Trek with its original series that was first shown on TV screens in black and white over 40 years ago isn’t on to something.  There has been a new movie release in May 2009.Have you noted the number of people that were familiar with the original series are now the very ones taking the Grand Kids to the movies.I believe Star Trek will be definately around for another 40 years!

There is something for everyone who loves Star Trek and whether it is one of their new generation movies or the original series. Fans of Star Trek are eager to become their favourite characters and costumes are a fun and affordable way to entertain those kids. Not just for Halloween anymore, costumes are a great way for kids to act out their favourite movie and television scenes or make up their own stories.

Only the other day I went to a friend’s place for coffee and it was just amazing to see the kids engrossed in their play as they were pretending to be a Star Trek characters.Computers are killing children’s imagination to be able to entertain themselves.  While I watched they had turned their bedroom into the transporter room and their teddy bears into crew members, how clever is that?

Todays parents are trying to spend quality time with their children and are always on the hunt for ideas to bond with their children.  What is a fun thing to do is all the family don their new Star Trek costumes and all make belief your on the Star Ship Enterprise.Good memories will be instilled in your childs mind with these beautiful shared familiy activities.

All Trekkies love dressing up so it won’t take long for them all to be in costume.I thought I had seen everything until I was invited to a themed Star Trek wedding and all guests had to pick a character to come as on the wedding day.  It was such fun and a great ice breaker to walk up to any guest and chat as you immediately had something to chat about rather than the normal small talk that happens at weddings.

Won’t it be great to know you will be prepared when Halloween gets here! No more planning just the waiting for the night to get here and the kids having the big countdown until Halloween. 

Every family member will have so much fun as you gather up Captain Kirk, Spock, Scotty and crew members all decked out (and a few accessories) in their costumes as you walk out the door together, you will all have a ball!
